SHORT BIO
Klogr (pronounced Kay - log - are) is a newly formed project which sits on the thin line between alternative rock and alternative metal.
The band's name is a reference to the law of Weber-Fechner, developed in the second half of the 800, which is known as the fundamental psychophysical relationship (S = K log R).
The project, led by Gabriele "Rusty" Rustichelli (producer at ZetaFactory, former guitarist of SensAzionE and other Italian alternative projects), develops a powerful sound that draws energy from a philosophy that challenges the contemporary culture, where every sense is clevery used against men in the name of profit.
Along with Rusty (vocals and guitars), the other members of the Italian/American line-up include: Nicola Briganti (guitars and a member of Lena's Baedream), Todd Allen (bass and a member of Beside Myself) and Filippo De Pietri (drums). All together, they complete the Klogr circle.
The idea took shape in May 2010 and in June of 2011 the group began recording for their debut album at the ZetaFactory studio.
From that point on, Klogr captured the attention of the public and aroused much curiousity among professionals and fans by publishing several viral videos, showing the progress of the band in the studio.
11-11-11 brought the world premier of the band's live show. The powerful attack of the eleven songs on the tracklist of "Till you decay" was greatly enjoyed and recieved well by the enthusiastic fans.
ALBUM
'Till You Decay' is an alternative rock/metal album, in which both the instrumental and the vocal lines are delivered very heavily at times and more melodic at other times, creating the sound of Klogr.
The whole record is based on the concept that "the society around us controls us, judges us, conditions us and ultimately suffocates us. A psychological game of massacre, control and power over the masses, in which they use fear and anxieties to unstabalize a person into something more fragile, more controllable and more subservient... till you decay.
After the ten video presentations of the band's sound, the first full-track to run on it's network was 'Live Dying', the opening track of the album.
'Bleeding' the first chosen single, due out in January, it will be accompanied along with a video that combines graphics and cinematography in line with the mood of the band.
'Till You Decay' is scheduled to be released worldwide in January 2012 and will be supported by a U.S. West Coast tour and several European dates.
The law of Weber-Fechner developed in the second half of 800 AD, and is also known as the fundamental psychophysical relationship that links the subjective sense of the subject (S) to the magnitude of a physical stimulus (R) offered by the environment:
S = K log R
K' represents a constant that depends on the type of stimulus. This is actually the relationship between sensation and stimululation and is complicated by the fact that not all the physical stimuli are perceived by the individual. In fact, a stimulus must reach a certain size to be perceived by a particular sense organ (absolute threshold) and must be quite different in intensity to be discriminated against by another, similar in size (differential threshold). However, once captured at the level of sensation, the physical stimulus is ready to be processed at a cognitive level, through the mechanism of perception.

Klogr (pronuncia Kay – log – are) è un progetto di recente formazione che vive sulla sottile linea tra alternative rock e alternative metal.
Il nome della band si rifà alla legge di Weber-Fechner, sviluppata nella seconda metà dell’800, detta anche relazione psicofisica fondamentale (S = K log R).
La formazione, capitanata da Gabriele “Rusty” Rustichelli (producer dello ZetaFactory, ex SensAzionE e chitarrista in altri progetti alternative italiani), sviluppa un sound potente e moderno traendo energia da una filosofia che sfida la cultura contemporanea, dove ogni senso è usato sapientemente contro l’uomo in nome del profitto.
Accanto a Rusty (voce e chitarra), gli altri membri della line up italo-americana, Nicola Briganti (chitarrista dei Lena’s Baedream), Todd Allen (bassista dei Beside MySelf) e Filippo De Pietri (batteria), chiudono il cerchio Klogr.
L’idea prende forma nel Maggio del 2010 e nel Giugno del 2011, iniziano le registrazioni del debut album della band allo Zeta Factory Studio.
Da questo momento in poi i Klogr catturano l’attenzione del pubblico e cominciano a destare molta curiosità tra fans ed addetti ai lavori, condividendo sulla rete alcuni flash video di 50 secondi con il work-in-progress dell’album.
La prima conferma arriva l’11-11-11, data zero del tour, quando i Klogr presentano dal vivo in anteprima assoluta il loro disco: Il potente sound degli undici brani di Till You Decay riscuote grande entusiasmo tra i presenti all’evento.
ALBUM
Till You Decay è un album di alternative rock/metal, nel quale sia la parte strumentale che la linea vocale passano da momenti heavy a momenti più melodici, dando vita al sound Klogr.
Tutto il disco si regge sul concetto che “La società ci controlla, giudica, condiziona…e soffoca. Un gioco al massacro psicologico, al controllo della massa e all’alimentazione di paure ed ansie che rendono il soggetto più labile, più controllabile e più sottomesso… fino al decadimento" (cit.)
Dopo i dieci video di presentazione, la prima track a circolare sulla rete è “Live Dying”, il brano di apertura del full lenght.
E’ invece “Bleeding” il primo singolo ufficiale, che sarà rilasciato a Gennaio accompagnato da un video che fonde tecniche di animation graphics e camera tracking, in perfetta linea con il mood della band.
Till You Decayuscirà in tutto il mondo a Gennaio 2012 e sarà supportato da un tour americano (West Coast, USA) e da diverse date in Europa.
La legge di Weber-Fechner, sviluppata nella seconda metà dell'800, e detta anche relazione psicofisica fondamentale lega la sensazione soggettiva del soggetto (S) alla grandezza dello stimolo fisico (R) offerto dall'ambiente:
S = K log R
"K" è una costante che dipende dal tipo di stimolo. Questa é In realtà la relazione tra la sensazione e lo stimolo è complicata dal fatto che non tutti gli stimoli fisici vengono percepiti dall'individuo. Uno stimolo deve infatti raggiungere una determinata grandezza per essere percepito da un determinato organo di senso (soglia assoluta) e deve essere abbastanza diverso in intensità per poter essere discriminato da un altro, simile per grandezza (soglia differenziale). Ad ogni modo, una volta catturato a livello di sensazione, lo stimolo fisico è pronto per essere elaborato a livello cognitivo, attraverso il meccanismo della percezione.
