Kaloyan was born in 1987 near the seaside, to a kindergarden teacher and a rugby player parents. Growing up in post-communist Bulgaria was a really surrealistic expirience for him, as he never knew the true meaning of prosperity and normality. Nevertheless life on the streets in Varna cultivated in him strange need for knowing things and twisted ambition for finding the TRUTH… about… well… everything.

After graduating from the elite highschool of arts in Varna (with a good portion of luck), he decided to study film directing at New Bulgarian University in Sofia, where he is currently finishing his Bachelors degree.

Interested mainly in films, literature and rugby (?!) he recently took the hard way of professional realization in filmmaking.
