KUNST HAUS WIEN
KUNST HAUS WIEN was established on the basis of the philosophy and artistic principles of the Austrian artist Friedensreich Hundertwasser. The building itself, formerly the Thonet furniture factory, was architecturally remodelled according to Hundertwasser’s own designs.
Since 1991, KUNST HAUS WIEN has – besides the permanent Hundertwasser exhibition – presented a program of international exhibitions of works by such artists as Annie Leibovitz, HR Giger, Andy Warhol, Pablo Picasso, Joan Miró, Christo, Keith Haring, David Hockney, Jean Dubuffet, Karl Schmidt-Rottluff, Jean Tinguely, Man Ray, Robert Mapplethorpe and many more.
