Laura Brost Cook
I studied journalism and theatre in college, nannied in Italy for a year, worked for the 2006 Winter Olympics and did a bit of traveling in Europe before I started working as a writer at the Orlando Sentinel newspaper in Florida. There for about two years, I decided to go on a 10-day mission trip with my church to join an organization called Children of the Nations in its work in Malawi aiding orphans. It changed my life. After much prayer and thought, I quit my job at the Sentinel and am now raising funds to pay my salary in order to work for Children of the Nations as a writer. God has provided 56% of the money I need so far, which is awesome!

Thank you for reading and watching!
COTN aims to raise up orphaned and destitute children in their own country and culture to become educated leaders who will then carry their communities out of poverty and disease. COTN works in Malawi, Sierra Leone, Uganda and the Dominican Republic, partnering with villages and national staff to provide education and skills training, orphan homes, food and medical care.
