Documentary filmmaker Laura J Boyd received her MFA in Science and Natural History Filmmaking from Montana State University. In 2006 she joined the staff at National Geographic Television where she served in many roles, including associate producer for “Dangerous Encounters” and “Explorer,” coordinating producer for “Wild Chronicles,” and produced the award winning children’s series “Wild Detectives.” Laura received an Emmy nomination for documentary research on the National Geographic Explorer episode “Talibanistan.” Her recent projects include documentary shorts on invasive species for the
National Park Service, and conducting research for the remake of Carl Sagan’s “Cosmos.”
