JAVIER GUERRERO

The Director Javier Guerrero graduated from the Community of Madrid Film and Audiovisual Studies School (ECAM). He also did studies of Philology and Linguistics at the Universidad Complutense of Madrid and studied Theater Directing at La Cartoucherie de Vincennes (Paris, 2001) under the supervision of Arianne Mnouchkine and Antonio Díaz Florián.


Javier is a producer and editor, experienced in videoart, advertising and televisión. He has worked for Canal 4 Soria, Canal + and TVE. He received and award from ETB TV channel in 2005 for the best musical videoclip in Basque. His first fiction short as a producer and script writer is “La Luz Oscura” (The Dark Light), which has been awarded in many film festivals.


In advertising, he has created campaigns for the Zaragoza City Council as well as for Brands like Küpperbusch, Stua, Azcue, Credit Andorra, Bankinter & Edesa. His video creations could be watched at the inaugural exhibition of the Huarte-Pamplona Contemporary Art Museum and at the International Center for Contemporary Culture (CICC) in San Sebastian. His first long documentary film is “Ruido con la boca” (Mouth Noise), filmed during the Ibero-American Theater Festival in Cadiz and will be first aired next October.

In 2008 he shooted his second shortfilm "Bondage", in 2010 he produced and directed the documentary film "El Centro de mi Guión", with this film he has been awarded with the Spanish National Award of Youth 2011.
