Andy Yardy Plus
I was 13 and living in the Philippines in 1986 when People Power over turned the Dictator. That was one of the first of modern era social revolutions. I became fascinated by the power of the media could change a society. I knew at that time I wanted to make understanding the media a career. After receiving a BA in media Communications I started working full time as a freelance producer. My first major project was doing a documentary on survivors of the Rwanda Genocide. Since then I have a career of producing what I like to call docupromo videos for Non Profits, relief and development organizations groups in over 50 countries. Some of the highlights include Southern India after the Tsunami, and Iraq and Haiti.
In addition to these projects I have been involved in film projects. I was Director of Photography for a film that was shot in the jungles of northern Congo. I shot a reality series that has yet to air and am currently working on a documentary on Human Trafficking in the United States.
I love to watch movies read books and running. I enjoy traveling but most of all I enjoy spending quality time with close friends.
