Leah Harrison is a filmmaker and artist whose work focuses on the personal and socially compelling stories of the disenfranchised. Ms. Harrison began her career as an actor and producer in television and theater where she facilitated projects promoting social justice and cultural change on such projects as the FOX/Naked Angels New Writers Series, The Actors Gang/Los Angeles Unified School District Theater Project, the Hollywood Forever Reading Series, Zoetrope/Urban Empire New Writers One Acts, and the Hubbard House Women’s Shelter Play Project. In 2009 she was awarded a Mentorship with Women in Film/Los Angeles. In 2010 she directed, produced and wrote the short film Box. Ms. Harrison has also worked as a stage manager, dialogue coach and project coordinator on various film and television projects.
