Lee Peterkin
Based out of NYC, Lee Peterkin was born in Sleepy Hollow, NY, a place made famous from a story written by Washington Irving. Lee found himself enthralled with storytelling at the age of five while playing a role in a tiny production of Aesop’s fable The Lion and the Mouse. By middle school, he’d starred in two stage plays, wrote his first screenplay, and shot his first short movie.
Through high school, he wrote one act plays, short stories, screenplays, and poetry. In the meantime, he acted in school plays, and shot sketch comedies with friends.
At the University of South Carolina, he majored in Filmmaking and minored in Theater. He won best screenplay in a writing course, which was later produced and shot by a group of students in the 16mm Film class. Throughout the rest of his college career, he acted in stage plays as well as commercials and short films .
In his post academic years, Lee has had a feature script (Cargo) produced by Persona Films, he wrote and directed multiple short films, commercials, promotional ads, fashion videos, and music videos. Some of his films have been accepted in film festivals.
Currently, he freelances under the company Treo Pictures as a writer, director, and cinematographer in NYC.
