Wells is a co-founder of perpetualartmachine.com, curator at large for Scope Art Fairs and a site editor emeritus for Rhizome.org an affiliate the New Museum of Contemporary Art.
Lee Wells is an artist, curator and consultant currently living and
working New York. His projects and exhibitions have been exhibited
internationally including the 51 st La Biennale Di Venezia, National
Center for Contemporary Art Moscow, PS1 Contemporary Art Center, 2nd Moscow Biennale, Cincinnati Contemporary Arts Center, Chelsea Art Museum and the Museo d'arte Moderna e Contemporanea di Trento e Rovereto (MART), in additon to numerous festivals and art fairs.
Wells has been curating independently since 1996 and most recently
organized the exhibition Drift, Supermodern Nothing is What it Seems at the National Center for Contemporary Art in Moscow, Russia and curated The Russians Are Here, for the Scope New York Art Fair at Lincoln Center.
