Lenelle Moïse is an award-winning poet, playwright, essayist, composer and internationally touring performance artist. She creates intimate, fiery, politicized, texts about the intersection of race, class, gender, sexuality, spirituality, culture and resistance. Her rhythmic, jazz-infused delivery is at once conversational and polished. Her critically acclaimed Off-Broadway play, "Expatriate," inspired her second CD "The Expatriate Amplification Project." Lenelle is a Fall 2011 Fellow at the Ellen Stone Belic Institute for the Study of Women and Gender in the Arts and Media at Columbia College Chicago. She makes collages, collects ribbons and occasionally directs experimental shorts.
