Perrone Ford commented on Avid vs Premiere vs FCP vs Vegas in the Forums Don't waste your time. Get a copy of Premiere Elements, The cheapest Vegas, or something else under $100. Linux is supported by the "big guns", but you haven't named any big guns in this post.
