wow, for those of you who think the gopro HD HERO does not have a JELLY EFFECT, this video proves that CMOS chips have a visually painful side effect! The contourHD 1080p has a similar problem.

As for the audio, i can hear digital over modulation (or severe acc audio compression) inside and outside the housing. Inside the housing, the audio sounds muffled, no surprise there.

This was very helpful to me. I will be playing around with the audio gain on the contourHD 1080p camera to dial it up a bit. The great thing about the contourHD 1080p camera is the fact that it has "Easy Edit" software included and you can adjust settings inside the POV camera using the computer.

I do not hear the digital over mod distortion (or heavy compression) on the contour like we are hearing here, but there is other noise i am going to try to clean up using the Easy Edit software.

We all must remember, even very expensive broadcast pro POV cameras are point of view video only. It is nice that these two companies include an internal mic. Most of the time, these cameras will just pick up wind noise since that is the application they were designed for...speed! But, it would be nice to hear a bicycle changing gears loud and clear while cranking some uphill tho!
