Located in San Francisco's Bay Area, L.inc Design creates award-winning motion, print and interactive graphic productions by combining art and technology with the elements of type, photography and cinematography.
Beginning with the client's vision, L.inc uses a variety of talent, techniques and software to polish initial design concepts to a gleam and then realize them fully, from production to post while providing sophisticated in-house animation and compositing services.
Recent motion-graphic projects include live action production and design for two Java Music Videos for Oracle, two promotional videos for Microsoft’s YouthSpark Initiative, an informational video for Walmart/Liquid Agency, and animated billboards (times square and the Guggenheim) for Oracle Productions.
Recent print projects include posters and billboards for Thinkquest, stickers and a wind up toy for Intuity Medical, POGO.
In digital/interactive media, L.inc's projects include interactive kiosk design and implementation for the Wellness Center at St. Helena Hospital, a website for Accuchex Payroll and software design for Patterns by POGO.
L.inc's artistic and production prowess results from the efforts of many talented people. Lisa Berghout is the founder and Creative Director of L.inc Design. Berghout has a B.A. in Electronic Art and Animation and has a national reputation as an accomplished designer. After working with Pinnacle Productions (Seattle), Berghout was recruited by Good Pictures Design and Effects (SF) as a Designer/Director and Flame Compositor. She went on to form L.inc Design in 1997 then incorporated the firm in 1999.
Ed Apodaca joins L.inc as partner and Technical Director previously at Varitel Video (SF) and Western Images (SF). In addition to a talented staff, L.inc also relies on a wealth of specialized freelance individuals that expand and contract with the creative and scheduling demands of the projects.
L.inc has thus far earned fifteen Broadcast Design Association (bda.tv) International Awards, two Type Directors Club Awards, three Creativity International awards, and four Telly awards. Both Print Magazine's Digital Design Annual and Res Magazine's Res 10 have published feature articles on L.inc's work. Linc's design work has been characterized as inspired, original, and contemporary.
