I try to create films that are fun to watch, with some pretty basic comedy and techniques, but about some bizarre topics. I've grown up with Martin Scorsese's savage and brutal truth (Raging Bull being my favourite), Francis Ford Coppola's early impeccable stylistic choices, Paul Thomas Anderson's innovative camera work paired with incredibly odd stories and the undeniable charisma juxtaposed with constant repulsion of Quentin Tarantino. I've been raised in an age where television has outgrown cinema (Breaking Bad for example) and where filmmakers are finally free to break the rules society once cast upon them like chains.
Cultured with violence and tempered with crime, now is a hectic and frightening time. Through different socio-economic groups due to wealth, time period and shared mindsets, I want to create the manifold possibilities in life and varied realities. Despite genre, realism or setting, the same issues will always prevail, allowing the audience to connect on an emotional plain. We are all the same. In principle, in war and in love.
