I make dances. I teach. I'm a trader of ideas. I founded Dance Exchange in 1976 and, 34 years later I became an independent choreographer again. I've written some books (Hiking the Horizontal, Critical Response Process, and Teaching Dance to Senior Adults); I've made dances about shipyards and about bonsai, about go-go-dancers and about the human genome, about prayer and about particle physics; I've won some awards and been rejected more times than I can count. Right now I'm working on several invigorating new collaborations. Have a look at the material posted here, or come find out more at lizlerman.com.
