2013 is showing much promise for the young gun, rock 'n' roll/rockabilly group Los Lobos Locos. Originally from Los Angeles, CA (formed Aug 2011) the group left the chaotic hustle and bustle of L.A. for the "Paris of the Plains", Kansas City, MO. From the sunny beach side performances in Venice Beach, to the House of Blues on the Sunset Strip, and even in-store acts at Goorin Brothers in Hollywood, this rag tag pack plays it all with little or no hesitation at any opportunity to jam out. During the first half of 2012, over 40+ shows were booked in addition to 1 festival and 1 out-of-state show, but the highlight coming in late May with the announcement of their 4 month long "Plan B" Tour (Aug 30 - Dec 22). The crossroads haven't been paved over smoothly the entire ride for the band either; only a month prior to the "Plan B" Tour, Luis Anguiano (orig. Guitarist) quit the group, leaving David Rodriguez (orig. Upright Bassist) and Adam Marquez (Baritone Saxophone/Acoustic Guitar/ Vocals) to complete the entire 4 month tour as a duo. After adding Wayne Carpenter (Upright Bass/ Vocals) at the end of the tour in December, the band suffered another loss when David Rodriguez quit the a week before relocating to Kansas City (March 1). Now in a new state and back to square one, the brilliant momentum that Los Lobos Locos carry with them continues to grow in an exponential rate without signs of seizing.
