Louis Normandin has been working behind the camera for over 18 years. Starting as a freshman in high school, he attended television production class at Woodbridge High School. WHS at that time was the only school East of the Mississippi to have it's own live broadcast facility and for four years Louis spent all of his free time as a camera operator, technical director and director working for Viking Television. In that time he worked on more than 100 live broadcast events including more than 50 live broadcast local sporting events and another 25 live broadcast panel television shows. Along with team video projects, internships and music video festivals Louis amassed a solid shooting background before going to college at Full Sail in Orlando, Florida.
After completing the Film and Video program at Full Sail University with perfect attendance and multiple course director awards including Lighting and Post Production, he was offered a lab instructor position in the lighting department in 2000. During his tenure of 2 years there he was awarded the Award of Excellence for his performance within the program. He left shortly after to join the IATSE and he has since practiced his craft on over 100 studio features and television shows over the last 10 years.
Also in those 10 years Louis has continued to carry the torch for the independent spirit. He has shot, operated, directed or produced over another 100 sketch comedies, short films, webisodes, documentaries, weddings,and 1 independent feature as a producer along with many personal projects that are now being drawn upon as he continues to work and expand his horizons with each passing season.
He now lives in Hollywood, California and works as a director of photography.
