Craving a way to conserve fabric and reduce her impact, our designer Sara Temme has dedicated years and countless hours to creative brainstorming for the purpose of reducing her textile waste. Frustrated with the inability to properly recycle textiles in the Portland area, she set out to figure out a way to simply reduce the waste that was produced from her sewing projects.
Taking inspiration from tribal cultures in Africa and around the world, her theory is simple: If the fabric isn't cut, it can be taken apart and reworked when the time is right. This theory has proven inspiring and challenging, even more so than we could have imagined, but each time we unveil a new style it only opens our eyes to the amazing possibilities that await our future designs.
Striving to create styles that are wearable, modern, and elegant, Sara hopes that her designs become modern heirlooms for the women of this century...and hopes that one day they're able to be reinvented for further generations.
