Luna Breeze Plus
Luna Breeze is a cirque hoop dancer, fire dancer, modern dancer, costume designer, living statue performer, and
artistic director. She began her career touring with Kaivalya Hoop Dancers in 2006, performing, and teaching at high
profile festivals such as Wakarusa, Rothbury and Wanderlust. She traveled to India twice, hired by Samsung Mobile to
promote the 2008 Olympic games.
From 2007 to 2009 she performed several times with Kansas City local performance fusion, Quixotic. She has been
hired for many corporate events such as Kansas City Art Institute's 60's Masquerade Ball, Mini Cooper's Barbarella
Ball, The 25th Annual Philanthropy Awards, Harrah's Casino Voodoo DuMonde, and KC Free Health Clinic’s Annual
Bloom Fundraiser.
Luna also finds passion in working with other artists and the community to create and direct several experimental
dance pieces such as “Extensions of the Body”, and "Beyond the Moon". Extensions of the Body utilized processes such
as live video manipulation as an interactive partner to the dancer, while "Beyond the Moon" fused together her love for
modern dance and hoop dance. Other works such as "The Story of Spider Women" combined modern dance, modern
hoop dance, and native hoop dance in one dynamic story of creation. Her most recent project Coyote's Song, an
environmental dance production for kids, combined hoop dance, modern dance and color guard to teach about the
importance of respecting the environment.
