You guys really need to find a way/funding to make this happen. As much as I love Vimeo, I find myself no longer recommending it to other folks looking for the best place to host their content, because I know that doing so would mean recommending that they use a site that doesn't give the millions of iPhone users out there a way to see their content. Why does that matter? 99% of the videos I watch now are videos that I have seen mentioned in Twitter or Facebook, or on pages linked to from mentions on those two services. Why does that matter? Because I'm not the only person that regularly checks Twitter and Facebook posts while out and about (waiting in line, while out with my wife shopping, etc.). I know it seems unimportant, but I would bet my house on your seeing a huge increase in traffic if iPhone users had a way to view your content. Just take a look at flickr's camera usage data for iPhone compared to every other mobile phone as well as every other dedicated camera... http://www.flickr.com/cameras/ I have no doubt that there is a large overlap in users between flickr and vimeo. Don't you think those iPhone users would like to be able to view your content without being chained to a desk or toting a laptop?
