Magdalena Baez was born in Nyack, New York and grew up in Cordoba, Argentina.
The second child of four siblings from an unconventional family, since an early age, she knew she wanted to tell stories.
For that, she chose studying Science of Communications. Yet, she wished to expand her career to a place where she could apply the necessary technical skills to her creativity. Thus, she moved to New York and completed a Master of Science in Digital Imaging and Design at the New York University, in the Center of Advanced Digital Applications.
Since 2007, established in New York City, she has been innovating in the field of Digital Art, Animation, 2D and 3D Compositing and Fluids Simulation. In 2011, her first short 'Laura' was runner-up at the Brooklyn Short Film Festival. She also has been working in tasks related with Marketing and Visual Communications.
Magdalena finds her inspiration in her personal experiences and how she sees the world and interacts within it after them. Her style is always influenced by Japanese pop art, Anime, Manga and Hentai, as well as Lowbrow art and the work of emerging artists in the fields of visual arts, digital art and digital music.
