Based in Belfast, Maiden Voyage is a dedicated dance company producing original dance and music commissions that tour to regional venues throughout Northern Ireland. Over the past decade Maiden Voyage has built a reputation for producing and highly original commissions by working with local, national and international dance artists and collaborators. Founded in 2001 by Artistic Director Nicola Curry collaborators have included choreographers Liz Roche, Jodi Melnick, Juha Pekka Marsalo, Dylan Quinn, Suzannah McCreight, Omar Gordon, Stevie Prickett, Andy Howitt, Filip Van Huffell and composers Andi Garbi, Neil Martin, Dan Levy, Denis Roche, Jules Maxwell and Brian Irvine.

Alongside the production and touring of new work Maiden Voyage established professional development programmes for artists including initiatives such as DanceLab, Prodance and the IDEA research project which have enabled dance artists based in NI to extend their skills and performance practice.

The company have also initiated a wide range of education and outreach projects with a range of partner organisations to generate interest in dance for all ages and abilities.
