We are a garage-based winery located in the Côte de Nuits, Burgundy, France. Ray Walker is an ex-finance expat with no formal training in wine production. Everything done at the winery is done by intuition. Our philosophy is focused on treating each wine exactly the same with the goal of retaining the distinct characteristics provided by each unique terroir. Maison ILAN produces 3 Grands Crus and 5 Premiers Crus. Ray has also written his first book, a memoir, "The Road To Burgundy", published by Penguin/Gotham in July 2013.
