Malado Baldwin a Los Angeles and New York based multi-media artist, whose work is currently featured in THE BRUCENNIAL 2014, and recently at Paperazzi3/Janet Kurnatowski Gallery, NY; and Nation II the Alamo, Sideshow Gallery, NY. Her work has been reviewed on artcritical.com, art21.com, hyperallergic.com, Art Business News, and Esquire Magazine among other publications. A graduate of Swarthmore College (BA, 1997, Comparative Literature French/English with Film Studies and Fine Art), and The New York Studio School (MFA 2006, Painting), Malado Baldwin is the recipient of the Buckingham Prize for the Expression of Music in Art (2005), the Visual Arts Foundation Grant (2007) and a nominee for both the Louis Comfort Tiffany Biennial Award (2008, 2010) and the Rema Hort Mann Grant (2011, 2012).
She is currently re-creating a "new" series based on her life on film "THE FILMS OF MY YOUTH", alongside preparing her collaborative multi-media film project "LUX/NOX" for festivals and shows.
