BIOGRAPHY
Upon completion of his graduate degree from Michigan State University, Marco S. Aluia followed his passion for film and enrolled in the Motion Picture Institute of Michigan. He continues to be actively involved with graduates while producing a variety of Michigan based independent films, commercials, and documentaries.
Marco’s acclaimed short film "ORIGINS" was well received by seasoned professionals and industry leaders. He directed the only promotional documentary on Detroit electronic music, titled "MOVEMENT" followed by an in-depth documentary feature film titled, "313 TECHNO". These films explored for the first time the historical inner working of the creative development and production process of new African American music genre.
Marco was also given the pleasure to produce and direct the documentary archive of the theatrical play of Frank Zappa's "JOE"S GARAGE" on behalf of The Zappa Family Trust.
Marco continues to work with a variety of independent artists in the vibrant Michigan film industry. He has worked as a production manager and producer with two Michigan start-up film studios. Marco's most recent film projects included working with Jeri Ryan (Star Trek) on a Lifetime feature film "Something In the Walls" and with David Carradine (Kill Bill) on "Dark Fields".
