In the late nineties he worked thru New York University’s Tisch School of The Arts as a video editor for a boutique post-house, Manno Media, that catered to fashion and lifestyle brands such as Christian Dior, Givenchy, Guerlain, Estée Lauder, MAC, Omega, and many luxury brands. He acquired a thirst for creating aspirational imagery. With the popularization and marketability of Fashion Films, Marcus began shooting for ELLE, Calvin Klien, J Mendel, Refinery 29 and Fendi. Jones’ body of work ranges from elegant product-driven portrayals of a designer’s collection to abstract experimental films embodying the spirit of the brand. Marcus was awarded Best Director at La Jolla Fashion Film Festival, the largest in the world, competing with Karl Lagerfeld, Bruce Webber, Dominique Palombo and others.
The Tents Movie, Executive Produced by Jones, is currently in international distribution by Warner Brothers.
