Margot Herster is a New Orleans-based artist who engages archiving practices, interdisciplinary collaboration and media theory to document contemporary cultural and political phenomena. Recent venues of one-person exhibitions, site-specific installations and screenings include Columbia University (New York, NY), Cantor Film Center at New York University (New York, NY), Sesnon Gallery at the University of California-Santa Cruz (California), and FotoFest International (Houston, TX). Group exhibitions include Arthouse (Austin, TX), Exit Art (New York, NY), Gallery MyCroft (Paris, France) ; Future Places Digital Media and Local Cultures Festival (Porto, Portugal), and Open Society Institute (New York, NY).
