Maria Riboli (Actress/Director)
Maria Riboli was born and raised in Italy.
She has been active in the acting world since the age of 6.
First as an actress then jumping into the director seat as well.
In 1998 she came to NYC and she finally felt at home.
Maria has hosted a TV show for the “Cult Network Italia” channel and won the “Hot Bird Award” with them.
Some theater credits in her acting resume include: Miss Julie, Betrayal, Talk to me like the rain, Dolores, Antigone, The baby dance, The white train and more.
She is a professional voice over artist (some credits include Barilla and Rosetta Stone and Verizon).
She also directed numerous plays both in Europe and in the United States.
In 2007 she co-directed (with Stefano Genovese), produced and acted in “BAAAHHH!!!”.
The play was accepted at the FringeNYC, then the run continued at the Payan Theater and in 2008 she was able to bring it to London at the historic Pleasance Theater.
Her latest theater project (November 2012) was “Want & Need” (want-need.com).
Once again she produced, directed (along side Sanja Beštić) and starred in this acclaimed love story from a guy point of view.
The show had a sold out run in the heart of NYC (StageII Theater).
Maria followed that success with another sold out run. She directed “Family of strangers” by John Pastore, in March 2013. (family-of-strangers.com)
Maria directed (along side Adam Pagdon) the webseries “Catch-30” premiering in the fall 2013. (catch30.com)
Most recently Maria directed the video portion of the Off Broadway show "Tesla" directed by Sanja Bestic.
Maria will be directing an Off Broadway dark comedy in January 2014, "Panic at the Riverside Motel" written by John Pastore (panicattheriversidemotel.com).
