Director, actor and composer /
Born in Linares (España), Luis is a vocational painter and has studied Fine Arts in Granada, España. Bored with college, he decides to travel to Madrid to enter the world of drama. After several independent theater productions, in 2006 he starts teaching himself how to edit digital film.
In 2011, after making several music videos and experimental shorts, he moves between Paris and Madrid to make his first feature film which is currently in post-production. More recently, Luis co-directs the French production company "La Louve FILMS" with actress Emilia Derou-Bernal.
Through his journey making experimental video, Luis presents us with dreamlike atmospheres and parallel universes. Although sometimes simplistic he makes suggestive metaphors that give much to be read into and interpreted.
Selected by Caja Madrid and La Casa Encendida with the works"HOW MUCH THESE ARRANGED TO LOSE" and "DAYDREAM TO HAVE A LOVER", of which the latter was criticised for its high explicit content.
Other works such as "1 MINUTE IN NOBODIES LIFE" or "I DREAMED FOR A MOMENT THAT I WAS AIR" were also selected for PHOTOESPAÑA (CLICK & REC) in 2009.
In his list of music videos you will find "EPHEMERAL" from the group FATIMA MEETS KURIAKI, in which a girl lives a distorted reality. Here we talk about the surreality in which many of us would like to live, and about unfulfilled dreams that haunt us throughout our day.The aesthetics of video are elegant, a retro-dream, which leads to a magical universe.
One of his last works, "SPEED SHOWN THROUGH WALKING" is a preview of the change to which it is directed, the argument begins to appear. Currently, Luis is filming a documentary about the meaning of drugs in today's society.
