Cinematographer active worldwide, based in Zagreb, Croatia and Dubai, UAE. Born in 1971 in Zagreb. Works in film and TV industry since 1990, trained in film and digital formats.

Through various tasks developed multiple skills, such as camera and Steadicam operating (Master rig owner), lighting design, filmmaking at the sea, aerial and time lapse cinematography. In addition Mario directed 60+ music videos and photographed several advertising campaigns.

Fluent in English, conversational in Arabic (Syrian and Egyptian dialects) and German.

Member of HFS (Croatian Society of Cinematographers), HDFD (Croatian Film Artists Association), HZSU (Croatian Freelance Artists Association) and DSC (Digital Cinema Society).

He shares an Emmy Award (1998) with a group of authors for the documentary "Calling the Ghosts" produced by Bowery Productions, USA (DP and Line Producer credits). Winner of Best Picture Award (2009) by Egyptian Broadcast Union for series "Ana albi dalili" (My heart is my guide a.k.a. Layla Mourad story).
