Vocalist, host, concert creator, writer, director and recording artist Marta Burton has held audiences spellbound in theatres and concert halls throughout the U.S. and abroad. She has starred with dozens of major orchestras including the National Symphony Orchestra at the Kennedy Center, the Detroit Symphony and the National Symphony Orchestra in Ottawa.
The classically trained actress, dancer, and singer studied at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and is a graduate of the University of Wyoming.
In New York City she began her concert career with Maestro Jack Everly and the Symphonic Pops Consortium starring the critically acclaimed theatrical pops concert, A Celtic Celebration. While in New York, she had the sheer joy of working with some of New York’s finest conductors including David Leighton and Maestro Richard Woitach of the Metropolitan Opera. She toured as Anna in the King and I to rave reviews, performed with the Alabama Shakespeare Festival, OperaWorks NY, and the Moab Music Festival.
Since moving to Denver in 2005, Marta has dedicated herself to researching and writing concerts that address social justice issues, leveraging the power of music for the benefit of humanity.
She has produced concerts and albums on behalf of The Spirituals Project, The Interfaith Alliance and Bread for the Journey and created custom music performances for the YPO, The Denver Art Museum, The Women’s Foundation of Colorado and dozens of non-profit organizations.
Marta has written, created and performed in the following concert programs: Amazing Grace: Songs of Faith and Folk, Southern Journey: Tribute to Alan Lomax, Unbounded: Breaking the Chains of Modern Day Slavery and Sand-Between-the-Toes. Marta has brought these and other collaborations to venues from the Ellie Caulkins Opera House to Swallow Hill and Chautauqua.

Marta’s discography includes two solo albums; Echo and Amazing Grace; a live recording of The Martyrdom of St. Bartholomew; They Slice the Air for The Spirituals Project; Sand-Between-the-Toes, and Southern Journey. Marta is a member of Actors Equity, The Colorado Business Committee for the Arts, and Phi Beta Kappa.
