I used cine mode 25p HDV, manual focus and manual exposure.
I carried a little tripod with me and used it for most of the shots.
You can get small Dof without a 35mm lens adabtar in two ways:
1. use your wides angle if your subject is small and you are only a view cm away.
2. Zoom in as much as possible with your subject minimum 1-2 meters away.
Both methods may require manual focus.

Concerning postpro, i used adobe cs4 production premium the first time with dynamic link between premiere for editing, after effects for color correction (16 bit), and the rolling shutter fix for the flashlight of the photographer ;) and finally a dvd output with encore.

Something i learned from this:
- I should have turned off Image Stabilizer for tripod shots.
- Some more moving camera shots
- A plan for shooting (i never planned to cut this together)
