Martin Stirling is a multi-award winning writer/director, emerging through the world of commercials, promos and short film with works that are playful and provocative. He has been featured in Creative Review magazine for his cinema commercial The Staring Man which was described as "Bold, brave and simple" and "Cinematic and courageous" by Alan Yentob, Creative Director of BBC.
His first short drama Flushed starring Jo Hartley (This Is England, Dead Man's Shoes) and Danny Kirrane (Skins, The History Boys) was described as "A brilliantly funny piece" by Amelia's Magazine. Harry Potter DoP Roger Pratt has also been quoted saying: "Success is when it works and Flushed did it for me on all levels". His latest short Future.Inc won the Sci-Fi London 48 Hour Film Challenge.
He is currently being mentored by Oscar-winning director Suzie Templeton and is on a director's development scheme with SHINE Drama.
