My name is Matheus Pitillo, I am 23 years old and I am a Game Design graduate from Brazil (PUC-SP / 2007 – 2009). It is there that I had my first contact with 3D, Games and the Animation development field. Today I am a student of the Game Design Program at Vancouver Film School. Totally in love with writing, film and creation, I am always trying to communicate my ideas through the incredible hypermedia of games.
What makes me more motivated to follow career in this field is the desire to tell stories. Since I was a child I always loved to create worlds and characters. When I learned that I could translate everything that I created to another hypermedia, creating games has become my biggest goal. I have experience as a 3D Generalist and I began the production of a 3D Short Film – Oh! My Zombie. I have also worked with the creation of 3D Environments, Level Design and Game Design at Idealista / Loopix Games.
Born in Goiânia, and having lived in São Paulo for several years until I moved to Canada, I have experience working as a writer for a number of Video Game Magazines (EGM Brasil, Nintendo World), writing articles, interviews and reviews. Of all the areas that I have worked in, the ones that I feel most comfortable with are Level Design and Game Design.
Finally, I am very happy and excited with everything that I learned during my one-year experience as a Game Design Student at Vancouver Film School. During the program I worked as Level Designer, Environment Artist and Project Manager on National Mech League; a 3D Dual Stick Shooter developed in Unity Engine. Now, my objective is to find a job as Game / Level Designer in the game industry, to gain further experience and to bring to life my design ideas.
