I started using echo machines as part of my music in the seventies and started to build loops on them in 1984. While living and playing in Rio de Janeiro in 1987/88, I imagined the functions of my dream loop machine, and used prototypes of it until I created the Paradis LOOP delay in 1992, the first dedicated looping device.
