I'm a painter and director.
I earned a BFA in Painting at Academy of Fine Arts in Firenze in 2007 and a MFA in Documentary Filmmaking from IED Venezia in 2009, under the supervision of the italian directors Silvio Soldini, Bruno Olivero, Alessandro Rossetto and Leonardo Di Costanzo.
I have won a Scolarship for Assistant at the Florence Academy of Fine Arts for the Multimedia Lab in 2009 and now I'm working in Milan as Assistant Coordinator for Cinema Masters and Workshops.
My first short documentary film "Il Velo", enchanted tale about a little nuns community, has been selected in international festivals Visions du Réel (Nyon), EIFF Edinburgh International Film Festival (Edinburgh), AFI Silverdocs Discovery (Washington), Dialektus Film Festival (Budapest) e XI Circuito Off (Venice), where it won Best Short film Award (Veneto in Short) and RTP2 – Onda Curta Award (purchase award of Portuguese television).
"Il Pensiero della Mano" is a visual poem on life that flows among artisans, on passion, on the future of work, and has been realized under the supervision of directors Silvio Soldini and Bruno Oliviero during the Design Festival.
"Il Desiderio" is an experiment and a proof of resistance: it has been thought, filmed and edited in five days, on Basilicata mountains, during an international workshop with the director Michelangelo Frammartino.
At the moment my first long film documentary, "Il Passo", is going to be concluded, co-directed with A. Locatelli and F. Ferri. It is the education story of Gabriele, 13 years old, among Valtellina mountains (the film has already been finalist at the contest Corso Salani and invited to the Rough Cut Lab of Visions du Réel 2012), and the documentary "Alberi che camminano" is also being completed, written with Erri De Luca, an Oh!pen production.
"Voglio dormire con te" (Italy / France) supported by CNC, Procirep, Lombardia Film Commission, Association Filmmaker, Périphérie - Cineastes en residence, Premio Corso Salani winner, finalist at Premio Solinas Documentario per il Cinema 2013, it's my last work, a documentary about love and disaffection, about the emotional bonds frailty, a sort of inventory of contemporary man and its weaknesses, a private film, like a diary or a conversation heard by chance.
