An independent filmmaker and a video artist who has studied Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering in Alexandria University in 2003/2008. Later, she attended many filmmaking, animation and video art workshops including the independent filmmaking workshop in the Jesuits Cultural Centre in Alexandria in 2009/2010. She was granted the FLTA Fulbright scholarship to study cinema and media studies in Wellesley College in USA in 2011/2012 which also enabled her to take the comparative media class "Innovations in Documentary" in MIT. In 2010 she was a part of the crew in Ibrahim El Batout's feature film “Hawi”. Since then she has been working on several short films and documentaries made by herself and other filmmakers as a DOP, editor, producer and director. She co-directed a collaborative feature narrative film “The Mice Room” made by 6 filmmakers and currently is in post-production.
