Michael DeAngelis is a photographer in the Washington, D.C. area. His work---at times documentary, at times surreal and abstract---offers a unique perspective on our ever-changing world. Please contact him regarding editorial, commercial or portrait photography.

Background
Photography has been a life-long passion for Michael. As a child he once "borrowed" his dad's camera to photograph a family of deer passing through the backyard. While the camera returned in pieces, his love for photography was intact. This love followed Michael through a varied career path. He traveled into the programing world, living on the edge of tech bubble, and then into the world of education where he taught his students the Socratic dialogue and the art of capturing the "decisive moment" in photography. Most recently he worked in the non-profit world, challenging college students to approach the sciences as Einstein once did by thinking in a new way. Whether lying on train tracks, climbing street poles or chasing down marathon runners, Michael always approaches the art of photography with a sense of adventure and a unique vision.
