Meir Tati is an interdisciplinary artist who works primarily in video, performance and installation. his works fuse together charged socio-political elements, lying on local and global states of reality, using an interdisciplinary language whose main source of inspiration is in contemporary visual culture: film, computers, pop culture, comics and the ever growing internet mania. Each work intertwines various mediums such as performance, actions, video, objects and more. Together they create a branched environment which reflects a relation between the socio-political reality and its varied forms of mediation, executed via assorted contemporary languages of media and pop-culture.

In his works Meir Tati use his physical body, actions and the imagery of the body in order to represent a turmoiled state of being characterized by violence, fear and terror – a reality which is presented in colorful filmatic elements full of humor. This reality moves constantly between paranoia and fantasy – small clues to science-fiction films, trash and terror movies, computer games and more. Meir Tati exit the studio space into his surrounding urban landscape, which in itself is contradictory, filled with hazards and temptations alike, there he creates an opportunity for contemporary art to coexist with "real life" reality.
