I grew up in a small town in the foothills of the Sierra Nevadas. In 2001, as a senior in high school, I organized the First Annual Nevada County Student Film Festival. In 2004, I won first prize in the documentary category of the UCSD Student Film Fest. In 2006, after graduating from UCSD with a B.A. in Visual Arts, I moved to Los Angeles, married my college sweetheart, and started work toward my M.F.A. in Film production at the USC School of Cinematic Arts.
At USC, I wrote, directed, and edited a number of short films. Since graduating in May of 2010, I have been directing a documentary as well as editing shorts, webisodes, commercials, and music videos. I have also been working as an assistant editor for a pair of feature documentaries.
