After several years as a traveling musician, DP Michael Alden Lloyd opted for film school. But his most profound education came on the set of HUGO, where he got to watch Oscar-winning DP Robert Richardson and his crew at work.
Having finished his Masters in Film and Television at Savannah College of Art and Design, Michael has since celebrated many achievements, including the Panavision Award, consecutive 2012 and 2013 ICG Emerging Cinematographer Awards, and the 2013 ICG Arri Award.
Michael has short, commercial, and feature credits – both narrative and documentary, and his work has screened across the globe, including SXSW, Cannes, and the prestigious plus CAMERIMAGE in Poland. He is a member of the Local 600 International Cinematographers Guild and is current on new technologies, including all digital formats and 3D.
