As a child, Mike studied Singing, Dancing and Acting at Frohman Academy in Carmel, California. He continued his 20-year Acting training in Los Angeles with Professional scene study coaches and Improv experts. Mike also studied Producing at the American Film Institute. After finishing at AFI Mike went on to star in more short films with "high production value".

He independently produced and starred in the short film On Duty (2000), which won "Best Short Film" at The New York International Film Festival (2000).

Mike went on to star in, the Student Short Film Festival in Toronto's "Official Selection", Til Undeath Do Us Part (2006), and later, Revolver (2007), "Official Selection" at the SoCal Indy Film Festival in Orange County (2007), and "Official Selection" at FESTIVUS film festival in Denver, CO (2008).

Most Recently, Mike Produced his wife's Writing / Directing accomplishment, a 3-minute short film Positively 4th Street (2007). Positively 4th Street (2007) was Shauna's first Directing challenge on Steven Spielberg and Mark Burnett's Reality show, On The Lot, broadcast on FOX the summer of 2007.

Currently, Mike is Producing his favorite of all of Shauna's feature length screenplays titled, The Trophy Case (2009). The Trophy Case (2009) starts out as a series of missing women catapults a city cop into wilderness survival while tracking a sadistic taxidermist who collects the severed heads of his victims.
