Michael Coughlan is a Canadian actor making his home in Medicine Hat, Alberta. He is known most for his role as the fedora wearing leading man in the astonishingly popular short film "Nuit Blanche". More recently he has starred in Dustin Alen's classic sci-fi homage "So Many Hours in the Day" (SHAW TV) and has completed shooting on two new projects with directors Dan Gaud and Chris Romeike. He has performed with The Shakespeare Company of Calgary and The Hometown Acting Studio of Medicine Hat (where he also teaches). Selected stage credits include Macbeth, Richard III, Romeo and Juliet, The Dreamer Examines His Pillow, and Spring Awakening: A New Musical. Coughlan is currently at work on a couple of feature film scripts. Aside from drama, Coughlan enjoys making music with his band National Midnight Star (soundcloud.com/nationalmidnightstar).
