Michael R. Sanchez is a filmmaker, songwriter and comedian living in Chicago. Since 1997 he has made films with a variety of friends, family, comedians and musicians. His love of improvisation began while studying at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater in New York City and continued on to Seattle where he wrote and produced sketch comedy with long time writing partner Brandon Ivey. Upon moving to Chicago in 2006, Michael added stand-up comedy to his ever expanding repertoire and quickly began working with local comedians on various projects and collaborations. In addition to writing and directing a number of award-winning comedic shorts, Michael is currently in post-producton on his first feature film The Return of Great Guy.
