My name is Mikhail D. Howell and I am a Director, Writer, Editor, Camera and Steadicam Operator, Sound Guy, etc. If it has to do with film and video, I want to be a part of it. I am a graduate of the University of Central Florida Film BFA and have directed several short films in my career. They include such works as Aishiteru, Attempt #1001, Paul and Watch Me, Love Me. I also have much experience with editing and Steadicam operating. Forever a student of the craft, I love to experiment with conventions inherent in the language of film.
My films have received various accolades. My short, Attempt #1001 was selected as one of five finalist in the International Tropfest Micro Film Festival. My other short, Aishiteru, was first place in the Enzian's Film Slam for the month of June and also won the award for Best Cinematography at the Melbourne Independent Filmmakers Festival against two Academy Award Nominated Films.
