It's not only *that* feature (dl-ing the original files), but the basic account is stripped out of SO many things! 1 HD upload per week, 500MB upload per week, extremely slow uploading (yes, even one single video of 3-4 MB took 5-6 minutes to upload here while on YT it took 1-2 mins with the same connection), 1 group etc. It's not even basic now, it's like a version of Vimeo that will make you pay the plus price if you use the site a lot or you'll have to move on and use it lesser. *And* the changes are retroactive, that's one of the worst policies to make people move to a premium based subscription or use the service lesser. A better policy to make people buy the premium account is to add something great (but not extremely essential) in Plus, defnitively NOT to remove existing features in the first place of the basic accounts. Do I need to quote the awesome comment from above that explains why Vimeo was better than YT and now it has *a lot* lesser not just a bit.
