Who is momowilly? Author, spoken word artist, philosopher, radio show host, fashionista but so much more. She is a strong black woman who identifies problems using her passion and way with words to solve them.

In 2006, as the landscape of Black literature denigrated into redundant urban fiction and trashy erotica noir, momowilly released Neurotica: An honest examination into urban sexual relations setting herself apart with a collection of short stories that were honest, sexy, funny and real, not stereotypical.

In response to teenage promiscuity, momowilly penned Its the Real (AIDS and Babies) and received critical and national acclaim when she won the McGill Poetry Award in January 2007. In April 2007, after performing the year before, she was asked to host two events at the Pan-African Bookfest in Ft. Lauderdale. In September 2007, she contributed to Motown Pride's benefit CD "Justice for the Jena 6" with her solo track "The Jena 6 Catalyst" to raise money for the legal fund of those victims of social injustice. momowilly performed "I Just Found Out I Was Black," at the Caribbean American Festival in Miramar, Florida June 2009. Having identified more social issues, momowilly released The momowilly Experience a collection of her poetry in August 2009.

In 2009, she co-produced a radio show that was supposed to promote active activism, but creative differences caused her to resign. momowilly used this opportunity to branch out on her own, producing and hosting a show called "The Experience with momowilly." This entertaining online radio show focuses on offering solutions to social problems, highlighting community activists, while providing a platform for conscious femcees and spoken word artists.

momowilly has never been shy with voicing her opinion, speaking for others and doesn't back down when she identifies a problem. She is releasing a book of her philosophical adages and affirmations late 2009 and is currently working on remedies to combat the negative images in black cinema and television.
