Mónica Baptista (Portugal) is a visual artist and filmmaker. She studied painting and has, in the last five years, delved into experimental cinema and documentary, using mainly such analog formats as Super8, 16mm and 35mm while also employing video and photography. 
With her works, she presents to us diverse contexts: From rural and isolated places to travelogues and urban societies, she explores the phenomenology of perception and the relationship between representation and reality.
Her works have been screened and exhibited worldwide in galleries, museums and film festivals
