Mr.Bighead

Keng-Ming Liu is a motion graphics director, designer, animator and illustrator based in Brooklyn, NYC. Born and Raised in Taiwan, Keng-Ming Liu studied Entomology at National Taiwan University. The memory of discovering various kinds of beetles and fascinating butterflies became the source for Liu’s inspiration in producing his animation shot film, Travel Diary. This piece represents the completion of Liu’s MFA degree in Computer Art at the School of Visual Arts in New York City. By employing his naïve but sophisticated handmade art and fast-cutting motion graphics, Liu has pursued a career as a motion graphic artist and director with many design studios in New York City, including Freestyle Collective, HunterGatherer, Hornet, Transistor Studio. He is currently a senior designer at Suspect.

Liu has received numerous nominations and awards from Adobe Design Achievement Awards, Oscar Student Academy Awards, Bitfilm Festival FX MIX Award, OFFF, Pictoplasma, and recognitions from design magazines such as Print and Stash.
